Just a veggie garden update…it’s coming along nicely.
The bell peppers are flowering…
The squashes are starting to flower…
And the sweet peas are looking beautifully flowery…
Ok…time to clean! 
A public defender super heroine by day, I am a cupcake baker extraordinaire by night. And come weekend, I am an IronPerson. I deal with an NPR addiction daily and I dream of one day having Carl Kasell on my answering machine. I strive to be the best fur-mommy I can be, and when I have time, I'm learning to be a grownup.

Dude. My garden is so ready for that action. Now it needs to stop snowing so I can plant! My bell peppers won’t look like that until mid-August. Stupid mountain climate…
Some blackberries for a squash? Our blackberries may be coming in well, but we have no squash flower yet
Our squash were seeds vs. the blackberry plant, though, so here’s hopin there not far off.

You can actually eat the squash blossoms. I saw a recipe for squash blossom ravioli somewhere last year. Seemed like a lot of work to me, but it would be an interesting dish for sure.
